The ultimate aim is to be able to wake the computers at the remotely office using a Raspberry Pi and then control them using TeamviewerĪny help would be much appreciated. I've tried the ports 4343, 9 and 7 and I've also been able to wake a PC using a similar method so I'm pretty sure the problem lies within Yosemite. I can always see the magic packet using "WoL monitor" on my iPhone so i don't think this is the problem.
I've also tried and assortment of iPhone apps including Wake and iNet WOL to send the packet and two different routers, a BT home hub and a time capsule. Confirm whether it supports Wake-on-LAN function 2. Put the computer to sleep and wait a few minutes. Put the MAC address into the app "Wake me" ( ) on another ethernet connected iMac on the same network Get the MAC address from Sys Pref>Network>Ethernet>Advanced>Hardware Scroll down in the list to find Wake on Magic Packet. Right mouse click on the network card and go to Properties. Turn on "Wake for network access" in System Preference>Energy Saver Enable Wake-On-LAN in your OS: For Windows 7/10: Open Start menu.
